Take a Day trip to Copper

Copper Mountain is conveniently located for several other Colorado ski resorts, meaning that you don’t necessarily need to be lodging at Copper Mountain in order to spend a day skiing or snowboarding there. Breckenridge and Keystone are each less than 19 miles from Copper Mountain, and Vail is just over 21 miles away, meaning that a day trip from any of these resorts to ski at Copper Mountain would be an easy and worthwhile excursion.
If you are going to visit Copper for the day, check out the savings you can make by buying your lift ticket online. For winter 2010-2011 you can save $22 per day on an adult ski pass by buying your pass online compared to the window rate, or buy the High Four, which gives you 4 transferable lift tickets for just $219, which is less than $55 each!
If you don’t have a car or you just want a break from driving, it’s worth knowing that the Summit Stage provides free transportation in Summit County, and if you don’t mind changing buses you can use this service to get from Breckenridge or Keystone (as well as many other locations) to Copper Mountain free of charge.
